Walking with the ancestors (continued)

Our stroll with the ancestors in the moonlight of not-knowing mind continues.  What might the Zen worthies like Linji, Zhaozhou, Fayan, Hongzhi, Wumen, Xuedou, Ling Zhao, or the tricky old woman selling tea by the wayside have to offer, in times like the ones we share?  

Ancestors of course are everywhere, they recline along the earth like mountains, flow like rivers, break like waves on the shore.  They flit through the air after insects and sip the flowers, and they glide on manta-ray wings across the ribbed sea floor.  

They even turn up as human beings in the oddest of places, including your own back yard!  As long as you move through the world with the generosity of not-knowing, the judicious welcoming mind of host, you will spot them wherever you are and grow still enough to notice.

And to take to heart.

As you know by now, these timeless evening online opportunities now interleave with the regular weekly Silent Sits, with some open group sharing afterwards, led by our Practice Leader, Deborah Chadwick -- happening at the same time, on first and third Sundays of the month, falling between the Taking Part afternoons.  

One weave of Sangha relations.

Also, take note that each term of practice will culminate with an opportunity for Dokusan with Susan Roshi & Kynan Roshi.
