As I reflect upon the troubles many people and beings are experiencing around the world, it sometimes feels as if it will overwhelm me; other times it seems to be distant... what to make of it all? The Buddha's Words on loving kindness remind me, "Let none through anger or ill-will wish harm upon another." Here is that little word "wish" again. What I wish for invariably comes to pass. I see that where harm upon another is wished for, the whole world suffers and the harm rebounds. May I do no harm. May I protect my practice with my life, "as a mother protects her child, her only child" that my heart become boundless and embody loving kindness fully. Let loving kindness break out over the entire world.
So may all beings be at ease. ( )
Beautiful, thank you Deborah. The very moment of the wish can harm or heal. May all beings be at ease ()
