It’s Alive! is an on-line Eco-Dharma group affiliated with the Zen Open Circle Buddhist Group in New South Wales. Group members are based in locations including States around Australia and in the USA. Our aim is to “To work on projects which address the climate emergency, to protect, sustain and save the natural environment and its many inhabitants, and to deepen our own connection with mother earth, and inspire others to do so.”
As climate change and the destruction of the environment and its inhabitants escalates critically, each one of us experiences ongoing grief and a great desire to DO SOMETHING towards supporting all life on this wonderful and bounteous planet earth. We do this by taking up a climate change/environment project right where we live, and sharing our project journey at supportive bi-monthly meetings, or simply joining and supporting our meetings. We post descriptions of our projects on-line, together with notifications about Action Sits and other environment/climate change events and resources. And most important for morale, we are posting the ‘Good News’ that is now beginning to happen as the world slowly wakes up to realizing what a precious and extraordinary jewel this planet earth offers.
